March 1st National Pig Day

National Pig Day is March 1st, and New Horizon Farms takes this opportunity to educate and often times introduce these animals to small children at local pre-schools and daycares. We also drop by area nursing homes and facilities to allow elderly men and women a chance to pet and hold a baby pig. It is often something they have not done since their youth or early adulthood. It is fascinating to hear them share their stories of days on the farm.

NHF Pipestone Family Fair Night

New Horizon Farms is a great supporter of the Pipestone County Fair and what better way to show their employees and families their appreciation than to give them a Family Fair Fun Night annually.

  • Each employee, spouse and child/children receives a New Horizon Farms t-shirt.
  • Each employee and their family members are treated to a wonderful pork meal served by the Pipestone County Pork Producers.
  • Children of employees are given several tickets to enjoy midway rides.

New Horizon Farms realizes the importance of family and appreciates the hard work and sacrifice given by the employees and their families. This is one of New Horizon Farms ways of saying “Thank you”.

New Horizon Grain Customer Appreciation Night

Yearly we have a New Horizon Grain Customer Appreciation event to thank our customers for allowing us to work with and assist them with their marketing needs. We have a very large bbq with all the fixins,’ including barbeque spare ribs, sweet corn, beans, Texas toast and beverage of their choice.

Our staff serves the customers and tours are given to show our improvements and vision for the future. The last couple of years we were able to show our new storage facility and scale. It is down home and done right. We appreciate our customers and always want to show our appreciation.

Pipestone Watertower Parade

New Horizon Farms is a participant in the Pipestone Watertower Parade. Each summer, we have a large contingency that includes New Horizon Feeds, New Horizon Grain, and New Horizon Farms tractor trailers in addition to a float being pulled by the New Horizon partners. Employees and their families all receive a t-shirt that represents the theme of the parade and are welcome to ride, walk and throw candy. We frequently hear comments from spectators on how fun it is to see the colorful float and number of units we provide for this event. It is also impressive to see how many employees and family members come to represent the company. It is a great celebration for New Horizon Farms and the community.

Pipestone County Fair 4-H Food Stand

New Horizon Farms participated in the Pipestone County Food Stands dedication last year. We were excited to have partnered with the local 4-H and Pipestone County in this endeavor. Together we provided a building where fairgoers can come, enjoy food and spend time visiting. In addition to the fair, this building is available to the community to rent for various events throughout the year.
